The Camp Lead and Deputy Lead are volunteers tasked with leading BSO's 2025 summer camp at Kent International Jamboree. The contingent size is determined by a careful evaluation of multiple factors, such as the availability of skilled volunteers, the presence of suitable equipment, and the ability to maintain a manageable and safe contingent size. We recognise that bigger isn't always better and a smaller camp can lead to safer, more enriching, and more meaningful experiences for our young people.
What do the Camp Leads do?
In summary, the Camp Leads wears two hats, managing the adult team's functions while also ensuring that the overall camp experience is enriching for our young people. This comprehensive approach to leadership ensures a cohesive, safe, and supportive environment for everyone involved in the Jamboree. The role also offers lots of personal and professional development and networking opportunities. The role can also be an absolute blast filled with fun, adventure, friendships, and unforgettable moments. Get ready to have the time of your life!
